Visitors at HMA

The start of second semester was busy at HMA! We were incredibly fortunate to host several visitors whose work and accolades have inspired many across Ethiopia—our students included.

We can now count legendary athlete and businessman Haile Gebrselassie among our guests. Haile is an Olympic gold medalist and one of the world’s most accomplished long-distance runners. Haile toured campus, admired our running track, and addressed an all-school meeting, providing students an experience that will be a core memory for many years to come. Thank you, Haile, for your inspiring words, your warmth, and your promise to visit again!

We were also excited to host TV personality and technology consultant Solomon Kassa. Solomon is known for his Amharic-language show, TechTalk with Solomon, where he interviews guests at the forefront of science and technology and discusses the latest and greatest in these fields both in Ethiopia and abroad. Thank you Solomon for visiting HMA, for talking to students about the intersection of passion and purpose, and for elevating science for the next generation!
